Overview
Take everything you know about the Toyota Camry and throw it out the window. The 2021 Camry is designed to confound expectations, and the result is a radically thrilling take on the Toyota mainstay that boasts an exciting exterior, lively suspension, and a whole suite of other innovative features, and for the fuel-conscious, Toyota throws a Camry Hybrid into the mix. Current Camry fans will no doubt be entranced by this unexpected evolution, but the 2021 Camry is poised to win over a whole new generation of enthusiasts as well.
The 2021 Camry is built on Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA), and it shows. The Camry's body features high-tensile steel for structural rigidity, and with an innovative double wishbone rear suspension system, the 2021 Camry handles better than ever. Its road manners are further improved by a four-point engine mounting system that helps reduce noise, vibration, and harshness in the cabin.
The Perfect Ride for…
The fans who have helped make the Camry the best-selling four-door sedan in America for over a decade, as well as savvy buyers who are ready for a truly 21st-century sedan that’s as smart as they are. With an emotionally-charged design and options that range from the practical to the performance-focused, there’s a Camry for everybody—and with the Toyota Safety Sense™ P (TSS-P) active safety package standard on every model, peace of mind is always on hand.
Drive & Handling
The traditional gasoline Camry is available with your choice of either a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine or a 3.5-liter V6. The 2.5-liter Dynamic Force Engine is inspired by TNGA and is paired with a Direct Shift eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard across the model lineup to support generating 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. Available all-wheel drive on the four-cylinder engine provides even more confidence for drivers. The intelligent system can send up to 50 percent of the torque to the rear wheels, providing more traction in snow, rain, and gravel. For drivers craving more power, the 3.5-liter generates 301 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque and front-wheel drive.
For the hybrid version, Toyota combines the 4-cylinder Dynamic Force Engine with an electric motor. The combined hybrid powertrain puts out 176-hp and 163 lb-ft of instant torque. With more than enough power to push the Camry's lightweight frame, drivers will enjoy the enviable savings at the pump.
